Cashless

10 March 2022

All you need at Reggae Geel – besides really wanting to enjoy the good vibes – is your smartphone and the Payconiq by Bancontact app. Bye Bye queues, hello great festival experience!

At Reggae Geel, you can top-up your wristband by scanning the QR-code with the Payconiq by Bancontact app. No need to haul cash and bank cards anymore, or wait in line to get vouchers.

Not for you? Don’t worry, we’ve replaced the former voucher booths with top-up stations where you can top-up your wristband with cash or debit card. Cash machines are not available on site anymore.

Reggae Geel became a cashless festival. All payments are done via your wristband. This means that you’ll be able to buy drinks, food or merch at the Reggae Market by topping-up your wristband or use your bank cards at the market. If you're really a cash-person, you can still pay with cash at the market.

This can be done before or during the event. Soon we’ll launch the cashless module. The cashless module will allow you to buy tokens before the event, on condition you create a personal account.

More to come!

Now how do you put credit on your wristband?

BEFORE THE EVENT

Soon you’ll be able to buy tokens through our website. Now how do you do that? First, create an account and enter your personal information as the code you can find next to “barcode” on your ticket. When showing your ticket at the entrance, your tokens will automatically be transferred to your festival wristband.

All cashless related questions will be answered by our crew at the info stands you’ll find on-site.

DURING THE EVENT

You can top up your wristband by scanning the QR code with the Payconiq by Bancontact app. Bye Bye queues. Just scan the QR-code, enter an amount and confirm with your pin code or fingerprint. The amount will be available on your wristband within seconds.

Not for you? Don’t worry, we’ve replaced the former voucher booths with top-up stations where you can top-up your wristband with cash or debit card. Cash machines are not available on site anymore.
