Young Warrior grew up surrounded by sound system culture — as the son of the legendary Jah Shaka, his path was carved in basslines and spiritual teachings. But Young Warrior didn’t just inherit a legacy; he built his own.
In 2010, he founded the Young Warrior Sound System, quickly earning respect for his conscious dub sessions, heavyweight steppas, and deep roots selections, always with a message of upliftment and unity.
Since then, Young Warrior has carried the sound system tradition forward, performing at leading events and festivals across the UK, Europe, Africa and the Caribbean, and mentoring the next generation of selectors and producers.
At Reggae Geel 2025, Young Warrior brings the essence of sound system culture: deep, meditative, powerful, and alive with message.
